Job Description:
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Safety
• Follows all Safety Rules and Regulations as outlined in the Employee Manual
• Wears all Prescribed Personal Protective Equipment as per Employee Manual
• Actively promotes and understands all relevant safety rules
• Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations; as well as, the Company Health and Safety Responsibilities and Accountabilities. Promote company’s safety vision.
Quality
• Ensure the machines are ready for the production operators
• Report all non-conformances to the Maintenance Supervisor
• Works on any special projects as required
Duties
• On the job at the start of the shift.
• Work a nonstandard shift as required.
• Ensure that proper maintenance is performed on all machines and
equipment, report any problems to the Maintenance Supervisor
• Ensure that all safety guards and controls are in place and functioning
properly.
• Be able to weld, use torches, and operate all standard maintenance tools and equipment properly and safely
• Be able to assist in assembly and dismantling of machinery
• Trouble shoot and carry out basic programing of PLC controlled machines and VFD’s
• Provide recommendations for continual improvements and maximizing efficiencies.
• Any other duties that he / she may be asked to perform to keep all equipment running in an efficient and safe manner.
Housekeeping:
• Ensures that your assigned area in the shop is clean at the end of your shift
• Ensures that the shop floor in your area is clean and free of trip hazards.

Required skills:
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
• Minimum High school diploma with some post secondary education in a related field
• Industrial millwright certificate
• Possess a good working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Electrical Control Circuit / PLC trouble shooting experience is an asset

• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work independently
• Effective written and communication skills in the English language
• Computer skills
• Ability to work at heights
