Job Description:

Lavaj – Hood Cleaning is looking to hire and train a Hood Cleaning Technician/ General Laborer. There are part-time and full-time positions available, with flexible hours. Excellent job growth/advancement opportunities available.
NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED; on-the-job training will be provided. However, previous mechanical, electrical, HVAC, pressure washing, janitorial cleaning, or kitchen exhaust hood cleaning experience is a plus.

Job duties include:
• The set-up and take-down of equipment including: hanging plastic sheeting, mixing chemicals, setting up ladders, wet/dry vacuums, pre-sprayers, garden hoses, and high-pressure hoses
• Pre-scraping greasy buildup from affected areas of kitchen exhaust systems
• Pressure washing the interior of kitchen exhaust systems (fans, ducts, and hoods)
• Accessing customers roof whether by ladder or stairs to clean the exhaust duct and fan.
• Final clean-up in kitchens by wiping down the hoods, mopping up the floors, etc.
• Digital photography of all work performed at each job
• Independent completion of work projects with limited supervision
• Reporting mechanical deficiencies of customer and/or comp

Required skills:

Technician must:
• Have a valid Driver's License with a minimum of 3 years driving experience (preferred)
• Have personal transportation to and from our different work locations
• Have a working cell phone and respond promptly to all calls from management
• Have a professional appearance
• Be dependable; able to show up on time, read and follow instructions
• Be physically fit; able to climb ladders, able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. at times
• Have excellent attention to detail, and be able to work quickly and efficiently
• Be able to work flexible hours; nights, early mornings, and weekends
• Be able to work safely in both hot, cold, and/or inclement weather
• Be able to complete work projects from start to finish with limited supervision
• Be fluent in English; able to communicate well with customers and other team members
• Be able to learn new procedures quickly to assist with the exhaust cleaning process
