Job Description:

The Coordinator leads and manages a team of volunteers in planning
and delivering a weekly restaurant styled lunch program. The Coordinator will
have experience in food management and preparation skills. The Coordinator also
participates in recruiting and training volunteers, money management,
documentation, and presentations as appropriate. Additionally, the Coordinator
will possess strong communication, organizational, collaborative, and creative
problem-solving skills which will contribute to a successful food program.


Employment Type: Part-time
About 10 hours, primarily on Wednesday and Thursday

Bread of Life Social Justice Café
Thursdays 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
An Outreach Mission of the Ecumenical Shared Ministry of St. Paul’s United Church and
St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Bowmanville, ON. The Café is operated out of the
St. Paul’s United Church building.
The Café is dedicated to helping those dealing with homelessness and food insecurity in
our local community.
Anyone can come into the cafe and use our discreet system in order to obtain a meal
completely for free, no questions asked.
In order to pay for the free meals, we also need customers to dine with us who are able
to afford our prices.
After costs, all proceeds of paid meals go back into the cafe to keep it running and to
help pay for the free meals.
