Job Description:

What You’ll Be Doing

The IT Systems Administrator will manage all aspects of our network and computer systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the security, performance, and availability of our IT infrastructure, as well as providing technical support and guidance to our staff.

  • Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, and laptops
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network and system issues, and resolve them in a timely manner
  • Implement and enforce security policies and procedures, such as access control, backups, encryption, and antivirus
  • Update and upgrade systems and software with the latest patches and releases
  • Create and manage user accounts and permissions, and provide training and assistance to users
  • Document and maintain system configuration, inventory, and procedures
  • Research and evaluate new technologies and solutions that can improve our IT operations and efficiency
  • Onboard new users to Microsoft 365 and setup of multifactor authentication
  • Manage support escalations through our Microsoft partner and assist with deployment of new tools or security policies

Required Knowledge & Qualifications

  • Post secondary education in computer science, information technology or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • At least 3 years of experience as a systems administrator, network administrator or a similar role

Skills/Abilities/Competencies

  • Proficient in Windows operating systems, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiar with networking protocols and devices, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, LAN, WAN, and WLAN
  • Knowledgeable in system and network security, backup and recovery, and performance tuning
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Certification in Microsoft, Cisco, or CompTIA is a plus

Job Type: Full-time; Hybrid

Job Hours: Scheduled hours are flexible and can be discussed between the company and the candidate
